THIS is the inside of an abandoned Glasgow hospital that has been left to rot.

Stobhill Hospital opened in the north of the city in 1904, but was moved to a new custom-built building in 2009.

It had 1,867 beds, of which 200 were for psychiatric patients and was converted into two military hospitals during World War 1 before expanding to include a radiology department and maternity unit.

The original site is now derelict, closing in 2011 – two years after the new hospital was built within the grounds.

But the abandoned buildings still remain – making them a popular place for urban explorers.

This includes the landmark clock tower, which health bosses previously said they were ‘committed to saving’ despite the area being targeted by vandals.

One YouTube explorer stepped inside the decaying building in 2019 to show the state of it after it closed.

Outside shots from the back of the hospital show metal and wooden boards covering the windows with a pile of muck and rubble surrounding it.

After walking around the different parts of the building, they then find a wooden board with a huge hole cut out from it which gives them access to the inside.

The first glimpse of the inside shows the once white hospital walls with the ceiling tiles hanging from the roof, mess covering the floor and the red hospital doors.

As they enter the hallway there are gaping holes in the room and broken bits of wood strewn everywhere with doors removed from their hinges.

There also holes in the walls as the whole place looks scraped out.

The hallways are lit but small broken windows and holes in the roof, but large rooms with little no to light remain pitch black as all the noises they pair make are echoed back to them.

They cut through what appears the be a gym hall before coming out to another room where the blinds are hanging from the windows and broken glass covers the floor.

There also newspapers and empty glass bottles of medicine lying everywhere.

The fire exit door appears to be kicked in as it lies off the hinges giving way to a route back outside.

Still inside the hospital, a large empty patient room, which would have been full of beds, is found covered in debris, dirt, broken glass and blinds hanging down the walls from the small windows.
